Love the site Mark, thanks for the continual effort you put into it. Thanks Kelly for the Birthday reminders... I enjoy sending everyone Birthday wishes. I also enjoy just catching up and staying in touch. Especially since I got married and we moved to Ohio. Its beautiful here in Marion, OH but its not Texas. This area reminds us a lot like Texas though so that's good. This winter has been a gentle taste from the normal freeze your tutu off winters I remember. We are right where GOD wants us for now so that makes us happy.
I pray everyone is doing well and ready to welcome in the Spring and the refreshing it brings. Love to all and may GOD bless and keep each one strong, healthy & blessed under HIS wings. <3 :)

Ok folks, need some help here. Do any of you remember a Mrs. Phyllis Albers as a teacher? If my math is correct, she would have probably taught in Canyon in the mid 60's. She retired from an elementary school in Austin so am thinking she may have taught at Rex Reeves back then and I didn't move there until 1966 and I didn't have her as a teacher. I happened to see her obit in the Austin paper today and the name caught my eye. There is no mention of  a Joan Albers so not sure if they were related. Just thought would share in case someone did happen to recognize her.

I just got a mental picture of a Mrs. Albers that taught at the High School.  I may have her mixed up with someone or maybe have the time frame mixed up, but I can see her face as plain as day.  She was a tall woman, sturdy build, and had semi curly "mousy" hair.  I picture her classroom between Mrs. Grahams' and Mrs Ellis'   Seems like she taught Social Studies or Government or something like that.

Anybody have an annual.  (And if you don't mind could you call my ex wife and ask her if she would give me mine back)

Mark

Great job on the easter sight! I love Redeemer I just wish I could still sing good enough to do it in church sunday. I have ruined it with the nasty habit of smoking which I am trying to whip in the bud right now. I know God can heal me from my addiction to cigarettes. Have a blessed Easter! Love you Mark for all your dedication to our site. God Bless Richly! Kathy D.

Mark,

Think you are remembering Miss Albracht, an American History teacher. I went through our Jr and High school annuals and no Mrs. Albers. That is why I'm thinking maybe Rex Reeves.

Thanks Kathy,

I know I am not near as enthusiastic about keeping up the website as I was in the beginning but I sure am glad that a few like you appreciate having a place where they can stay in touch with their former classmates.   I think FaceBook occupies everybody's time and interest.  There they can be creative and stay in touch with others in a more creative way.  I have come to understand everyone's passion for Facebook and that it leaves them little time for a secondary social application like Canyon75.com.   That is why I have cut back some in the time I spend preparing this site.  However, I am proud that it is one of the better class websites that I have seen on this ClassCreator webhost.

Again thanks for your continued support and appreciation.

Your friend,

~ mj ~

You know I am really not sure what the attraction is with facebook I do admit that I look at it everyday. Everyone in our class does not use it though. This is my way of contacting those who don't. I don't understand why some people put the things they do on facebook. It's beyond me and half of the people that I have as friends on there don't ever respond to the things I say anyway. What's the purpose? LOL I hope all finds you well and that you are enjoying this wonderful springtime!

Love you my friend

Kathy D.

For those of you that do not know. Cindy Talkington (Cindy Baldridge) has stage 4 Lung Cancer. Her friends and family have a Go Fund Me account set up on Facebook. Please find it in your heart to donate to Cindy to help with medical and living expenses during this difficult time. She is a Canyon Eagle. She is not from the class of '75 but a lot of us had friends in all classes or grades. If you knew her then you know what a wonderful person she is. She needs our help so please donate. Please pass the word around. It's hard to find your friends on Facebook when names change. Please, please donate to our classmate from Canyon High School.
