Did Valerie Davis graduate with our class or move? Hmmm this getting older is tough.

Karon,

He is on my MIA list, but so far have not been able to find any leads as to where he is. If you have a lead then I would be more than happy to try and contact him or family.

Kim,

You are right about Valerie. So sorry she got overlooked. We have been flying blind on a lot of our classmates. So if there are others we have overlooked feel free to let us know. By chance do you know how to reach her? If so then please give her all the details and give either Mark or Kelly time to get her name added. I don't have anything to do with the site, I just try to locate people! LOL

Diane Lee is part owner or at least her brothers are, of the Big Texan Steak House. Should be able to get some info on her location. Her brothers names are Bobby and Danny Lee.

Rick Carter is owner of Tex-Mex Fence Co. in Amarillo. You should be able to get in contact with him.

Ok Folks,

I have located Phil Davis in Midland, but can not find a working number. Does anyone know how to reach him?

I also know that Joan (Albers) Ryan is in Amarillo, but the only number I have found is no longer a working number.

Marice (Baker) Sands is also in the Canyon/Amarillo area, but I can not find a number for her.

Does anyone know how to get in touch with the above people?? I also have several that I have hit a deadend on. The leads I've  found are no longer viable ones. So if any of you know how to reach someone that is still on the MIA list please pass the info on to them.

Thanks

Kim,

I've run into Jill Ellinwood (677-4216) here in Amarillo and Beverly Aragon Cerbantez (655-3744) in Canyon in just the past 6 months. I don't have emails for them but if you don't get them on the phone, I'll see if I can get you addresses.  Thanks for all you are doing.

Have I just missed it or is there some kind of fund we need to contribute to for tailgaiting supplies or meeting room rentals and refreshments? Or will we be purchaing tickets for the events? I'm used to the spouse's class reunions and there's quite a bit of expense all around.

And can someone tell me how to get that silly blank photo off my message box? I thought I was a web smart ... guess not.

Christi,

I called both ladies and never reached either. Have left voice messages, so if you see them or want to call, please feel free to follow up for me.

I have also contacted Steve McCormick and left a voice message twice, but so far no response. Would someone else like to try and reach him? If so let me know and I will pass his number along if you need it. He's my contact to Kathy. LOL

Does anyone know anything about Hoyt Turner....I think we had nearly every class together for 3 years and set by each other when   put  in alphabetical order. He was such a quiet,  nice guy.  Would love to find out where he is now!

Kelly,

Thank-you so much for all of the organization you have put into this reunion! I know Mark helped a great deal too. We all are so appreciative of all of the hard work and effort you guys have put in. I know it has taken many, many hours to get all this going! I got the update and it sounds great! I just can't wait to see everyone. It is going to be so much fun! I bet some of us will not even recognize eachother! I will be using the nametags along with my reading glasses. Everything is going to be just wonderful thanks to you guys!

What ever become of Sue Green?  Wasn't She in our class?

Kelly and Mark, thank you for everything you guys have done putting this together. I lost touch with most of the class toward the end of school in 75 and am looking forward to seeing everyone at the game. Is there anything I can do for the tailgate? Pam and I live only a few minutes from the stadium and we would be happy to do whatever suits anyone's fancy(ribs,sausages,etc.).

Sharon Daugherty (Burkett)

I just wanted to say thank you to Kelly and Mark for putting all of this together.  Especially in getting in touch with all of us and setting up the website so we could all connect again. I have been amazed to find how many fellow eagles live so close to where I live and work.  I have not been able to attend any of the reunions due to family situations and just life in general as we all can attest to.  I am looking forward to this one.  My students have heard all about some of those fun days, our plans and they know how much I love football so they know that will be a riot...a good one. They are expecting pictures...it will be a wonderful example and encouragement for them to want to graduate when the odds are not in their favor.  I know that getting all this done has been a huge task and the website alone is a witness of excellence and taking pride in who we are and where we came from:  We are the Canyon Eagles and proud of it. Our feathers may be a little thin, our bellies a little fuller and our eyes a bit dimmer but we are Eagles, strong protectors and fighters when faced with adversity, people of pride and honor.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone, sharing family pictures and hearing some wonderful stories of our first 50 years.  I tell people I'm 29 with 54 years experience.  Fun and good laughs with family and friends is important.  Moments are memories and today is filled with yesterdays memories for every tomorrow.

Also, thanks for setting up the Merchandise section.  I haven't got anything left from back then and it wouldn't fit anyway...life you know.  I just wish I could get some copies of the yearbooks from 72 to 75 to go along with my purchases.  If anyone knows how I can get a copy of them I would appreciate it bunches.

Thanks again guys, you've done a wonderful job. Looking forward to seeing you all.

Sharon

Is it a sign of old age when you can't remember your Alma Mater? I finally found our graduation program that had it on the back. It all suddenly came flooding back and my husband thought I had really lost my mind when I started singing it. Boy does that bring back memories. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Kim,

I had a disaster with my cell phone, I dropped it in dishwater so I didn't get the messages, but thank you for trying. I'll be at the tailgate and probably to the Saturday memorial events. I was very shocked and saddened to hear about Karen, I was hoping to see her. I tried to reach an old friend of Brads through his brother to let him know, but I don't know if he's heard yet. That brings back old memories for me  because I had to chose in 7th grade to go steady with Brad or Mark Anderson, it was a tough decision, but I chose Mark.

I'm looking forward to seeing all of you at the reunion, I wanted to come to the last one but I was still too shy.

Jill

Randy,

Yes, Sue Green was in our class, at least she has a picture in the Junior yearbook. I'm not sure if she finished with us though. My memory isn't what it used to be. LOL

I am pretty sure Sue Green passed away several years ago.

I hope everyone is taking lots of photos to post, for those of us that were not able to attend. Look forward to seeing them.
